Unit 4: Probability & Distributions (10–20%)

Introduces probability models and random variables.

  • Estimating probabilities through simulation
  • Mutually exclusive and Independent events
  • Random variables and Probability distributions
  • Binomial and Geometric distributions

 

Unit 5: Sampling Distributions (7–12%)

Develops sampling distributions and their use in inference.

  • Normal distribution revisited & Central Limit Theorem
  • Biased and unbiased point estimates
  • Sampling distributions for proportions and means

 


 

Unit 6 & 7: Inference for Proportions & Means (22–33%)

Introduces significance tests and confidence intervals.

  • Confidence intervals for population proportions and means
  • Significance tests and p-values
  • Errors in testing (Type I and Type II)
  • Inference for differences in proportions and means

 

Unit 8 & 9: Chi-Square & Slopes (4–10%)

Uses advanced procedures to test associations and regression.
