Hi! I’m Tim. I graduated from the Department of Physics at National Taiwan University, and I’ve been teaching international students for over 10 years.
Over the past decade, I’ve worked with students from all over the world to help them prepare for AP, IB, A-Level, SAT, ACT, and various high school math and physics courses. My goal is to make complex ideas easier to understand, and to help students feel more confident, whether they're catching up or aiming for top scores.
I specialize in 1-on-1 teaching because I believe every student learns at a different pace and with distinct needs. Lessons with me are always tailored to your pace and your goals. If you're serious about improving and want structured, clear guidance, I’d love to work with you.
AP Statistics is a high school course designed to teach students the essential skills of collecting, organizing, and analyzing data while using statistical reasoning to answer questions and make informed decisions.
The curriculum is built around four core themes: exploring data, sampling and experimental design, probability and simulation, and statistical inference.
These concepts are not only foundational for academic research and business analysis but also highly relevant in everyday life.
Whether it’s interpreting survey results, evaluating medical studies, or predicting election outcomes, understanding how data is generated and how to effectively use it is critical in today’s data-driven world.
This course equips you with the tools to navigate and thrive in a world increasingly shaped by data.

The College Board has announced significant updates to all four AP Physics courses—AP Physics 1, AP Physics 2, AP Physics C: Mechanics, and AP Physics C: Electricity and Magnetism—effective for the 2024-25 academic year. These revisions aim to better align the courses with college-level expectations and streamline content for both teachers and students. Key changes include:
– AP Physics 1: Expansion to 8 units, incorporating fluids and equations for simple harmonic motion, along with reduced exam questions and new question types.
– AP Physics 2: Enhanced coverage of waves, restructured optics units, and the addition of blackbody radiation and Compton scattering.
– AP Physics C: Updates to the frameworks for Mechanics and Electricity and Magnetism, ensuring clearer definitions and consistency across all courses, with exams now running as full, independent sessions.
The new frameworks emphasize flexibility in assessing science practices, streamlined exam structures, and skill-focused assessments to better support student success.
