Hi! I’m Tim. I graduated from the Department of Physics at National Taiwan University, and I’ve been teaching international students for over 10 years.
Over the past decade, I’ve worked with students from all over the world to help them prepare for AP, IB, A-Level, SAT, ACT, and various high school math and physics courses. My goal is to make complex ideas easier to understand, and to help students feel more confident, whether they're catching up or aiming for top scores.
I specialize in 1-on-1 teaching because I believe every student learns at a different pace and with distinct needs. Lessons with me are always tailored to your pace and your goals. If you're serious about improving and want structured, clear guidance, I’d love to work with you.
AP Biology is an advanced high school course designed to explore the fundamental principles of life sciences. It provides students with a deep understanding of biological phenomena at the molecular, cellular, organismal, and ecosystem levels. Throughout this course, you will develop scientific reasoning skills, learn to design and conduct experiments, analyze data, and apply logical thinking to explain complex biological concepts.
The Mathematics AA course focuses on developing a deep understanding of mathematical concepts and strong reasoning skills. It emphasizes problem-solving in abstract contexts, requiring students to construct, express, and verify mathematical arguments with precision. Additionally, it explores connections between different mathematical topics and encourages independent thinking. Students are also expected to continuously refine their mathematical knowledge in various learning environments.
The International Baccalaureate (IB) Chemistry course is a component of the IB Diploma Programme, designed for students aged 16 to 19. It offers an in-depth understanding of chemistry while fostering practical, analytical, and problem-solving skills. The curriculum encourages exploration of chemistry’s real-world applications in fields such as medicine, environmental science, engineering, and technology. Often referred to as the “central science,” chemistry connects physics, biology, and earth sciences. The IB Chemistry course aims to develop critical thinking through data analysis, enhance laboratory skills via hands-on experiments, and promote a global scientific perspective by examining ethical, environmental, and societal issues related to chemistry.
