Avanti Aggarwal (New York University / B.A Economics)

Hello! My name is Avanti Aggarwal, and I’m passionate about helping others learn and grow. During my time at NYU, I had the opportunity to tutor students, which deepened my appreciation for creating a supportive and personalized learning environment. I believe learning should be enjoyable and tailored to each person’s unique needs, and I’m committed to making that happen in every session. Being a college student myself, I am aware of the financial benefits of taking the AP exams and help students prepare for these to save thousands of dollars in university.

Outside of teaching, I’m an aspiring tennis player, working hard to improve my skills and achieve my goals. I’m excited to bring my passion for learning and my diverse interests to our sessions, helping you reach your goals in an encouraging and collaborative way!

Detailed Experiences

During my time at NYU, I had the privilege of tutoring a diverse group of students, including helping one girl successfully gain admission to Brown University. This experience allowed me to offer valuable guidance on college applications, essays, and standardized tests, ensuring each student’s strengths were showcased effectively. In addition to college applications, I also worked closely with students on their SAT preparation. By implementing targeted strategies and focusing on areas of improvement, I helped several students boost their SAT scores by around 100 points. My approach emphasizes understanding each student’s unique learning style, offering personalized support for AP exams and test prep, and fostering an environment where students feel confident in their abilities. Whether it was refining essays, strategizing for exams, or navigating the application process, my goal was always to help students unlock their full potential and achieve their academic dreams.  My scores include 5/5 on the AP Calculus exams and AP Economics exams as well as a 1570 on the SAT.
